Narendra Modi Education and Starting Career
• Narendra Modi’s early education was completed from the local school of Vadnagar, he completed his higher secondary education there by 1967. After that, due to the poor financial condition of his family, he left his home, and then he traveled all over India and explored various cultures.

Narendra Modi Political Career Start
• After graduating from college, Modi joined the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and travelled to Ahmedabad to work as a full-time pracharak for the Hindu nationalist Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
• In 1975–77, when then-prime minister Indira Gandhi declared a state of national emergency, the RSS was outlawed. Modi was had to go underground as a result, and he frequently travelled in disguise to evade capture.
• Modi participated actively in the anti-Emergency demonstrations. He opposed the government at the time using a variety of strategies, such as handing out leaflets. His leadership, organising, and managerial abilities were highlighted by this.
• Following this, Narendra Modi became a political worker. He was tasked with writing for RSS.
• Modi ji considered joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) through the RSS in 1985. When Narendra Modi ji first joined the BJP in 1987, he assisted in planning the party’s campaign in the Ahmedabad Municipal Election, which the BJP won.

• After joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 1987, Narendra Modi rose rapidly through the ranks as he was a very intelligent person. He promoted privatization of businesses, small government and Hindu values. The same year, he was elected as the general secretary of the party’s Gujarat branch.
• Modi’s abilities were recognized within the party after he helped conduct LK Advani’s Ayodhya Rath Yatra in 1990, which became his first national-level political assignment.
• This was followed by Murli Manohar Joshi’s Ekta Yatra in 1991-92. Modi played a major role in strengthening the BJP’s presence in Gujarat after the Gujarat Assembly elections in 1990.
• In the 1995 elections, the party won 121 seats, leading to the formation of the first BJP government in Gujarat. The party remained in power for a short time, which ended in September 1996.
• In 1995, Modi was appointed the national secretary of the BJP to handle activities in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh, and moved to New Delhi.
• In 1998, when the BJP was facing internal leadership disputes, Modi paved the way for the BJP’s electoral victory, successfully helping resolve the disputes.
• The same year, Modi was appointed general secretary, a position he held until 2001. During that period, Modi was credited with successfully reviving the party organisation in various states.
Narendra Modi As a Chief Minister of Gujarat
• Narendra Modi contested the assembly elections for the first time in 2001, and won one of the two seats in Rajkot. After which he became the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Actually at that time Keshubhai Patel’s health had deteriorated and on the other hand BJP had lost some assembly seats of the state in the by-election. After which the national leadership of BJP was taken from Keshubhai Patel and handed over to Modi ji and he was given the responsibility as the Chief Minister of Gujarat.
• On 7 October 2001, Modi ji took oath as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. After this, his victory became certain one after the other.
• First of all, he won the by-election for the ‘Second Constituency’ of Rajkot on 24 February 2002. He defeated Ashwin Mehta of Congress by 14,728 votes.
In 2002, Narendra Modi Got a Clean Chit in the Gujarat Riots
Three days after Narendra Modi won the by-election, a major incident of communal violence took place in Gujarat, which resulted in the death of 58 people. Because at that time a train full of hundreds of passengers, mostly Hindu passengers, was set on fire near Godhra. This incident took place in protest against Muslims. Due to which it spread throughout Gujarat. And communal riots started in Gujarat. About 900 to 2,000 people lost their lives in this riot.
At that time Modi ji’s government was in power in the state, due to which he was accused of spreading this riot. Due to the allegations made on Modi ji, pressure increased on him from all sides, due to which he had to resign from his post of Chief Minister. Therefore, Modi ji’s tenure as the Chief Minister of Gujarat at that time was only for a few months. Then in the year 2009, the Supreme Court formed a team related to this, which was formed to investigate this matter. The name of this team was SIT. After conducting a thorough investigation, this team submitted a report to the Supreme Court in 2010, in which Modi was given a green signal in this case. However, in 2013, this investigation team was accused of hiding the evidence found against Modi.
2nd Time Chief Minister
When Modi ji got a clean chit from the court, he was again appointed as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. After Modi ji became the Chief Minister of Gujarat again, he started working for the development of the state. This also brought a lot of changes in the state. He built technology and financial parks in the state of Gujarat. In 2007, Modi ji signed real estate investment deals worth Rs 6,600 billion in Gujarat at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit. After this, in July this year, Narendra Modi ji completed 2,063 consecutive days as the Chief Minister, due to which he made a record of holding the post of Chief Minister of Gujarat for the longest number of days.
3rd Time Chief Minister
This record of Modi Ji continued further, in the 2007 Gujarat Assembly elections, Modi Ji won again and became the Chief Minister of Gujarat for the third time. During this tenure, Modi Ji paid more attention to economic development in the state, and also focused on privatization. He promoted his policies to shape India as a global manufacturing epicenter. During Modi Ji’s tenure as Chief Minister, there was a significant increase in the agricultural growth rate in Gujarat. Its growth was so much that it became a very developing state compared to other states of India. Modi Ji arranged for electricity supply in rural areas which helped in increasing agriculture. Between 2011 and 2012, Modi Ji started the Sadbhavana / Goodwill Mission in Gujarat. Which was started to reach out to the Muslim community in the state. Modi Ji also observed many fasts and he believed that this step would further strengthen the atmosphere of peace, unity and goodwill in Gujarat.
4th Time Chief Minister
In 2012, Modi ji’s third term as Chief Minister ended. And this year again assembly elections were held in Gujarat. And like every year, this year too Modi ji won and he was appointed to take over as the Chief Minister of Gujarat for the fourth time.
So Modi ji was credited for bringing prosperity and development to the state. Due to this, during that time as the head of the Gujarat government, Modi ji made his mark as an able ruler. He is also credited for the rapid development of the state’s economy. Important Schemes Launched by Narendra Modi
From 2014 till now, Modi ji has started many important schemes and initiatives during his tenure. Information about some of them is as follows –
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan: – This campaign was started on a large scale in India, under which cleanliness was ensured in the country and lakhs of toilets were constructed in rural areas.
Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana: – This scheme was started to open bank accounts of the farmers of the country. Under which accounts of farmers were opened for free and the assistance given to the farmers was deposited in their bank accounts.
Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana:- Under this scheme, LPG gas cylinders were provided to women of poor families to honour them.
Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana:- Under this scheme, crops can be irrigated properly and agricultural work can get a better direction. Therefore, this scheme was started.
Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana:- In this scheme, insurance was provided to farmers for the crop. So that if their crops get damaged due to natural disasters, then they can get the insurance money.
Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana:- Under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, the facility of training the youth for skill development was given.
Make in India:- After coming to power, Prime Minister Modi ji launched some very important campaigns, one of them was the ‘Make in India’ campaign. Under which work was done for the development of the manufacturing sector by encouraging them.
Garib Kalyan Yojana:- Under this scheme, work was done for the welfare of the poor and to provide them better facilities.
Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana:- The objective of the Prime Minister to start this scheme was to provide financial assistance to small girls for their empowerment.
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana:- Under this scheme, financial assistance was provided to the poor to build their own house on the basis of installments.
Digital India Program:- By starting this program, the Prime Minister inspired to digitalize the economy in the country. Along with this, he also appealed to the people to use digital technology.
